Project week health childA project pass, on which all tasks and activities of the project week were listed, accompanied the children through the week. The children learned about various types of fruit and vegetables, how to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy foods, and the food pyramid was also discussed. A jointly designed fruit and vegetable monster was created with a lot of fun and imagination.

The project week offered us the opportunity to gather many new and exciting experiences and so a singing lesson under the direction of Stefan Foidl and a yoga session led by Laura Strohbach could not be missed.

An awareness of movement and sports was promoted and the children independently made a jumping string. The team from "Kinder gesund bewegen" taught the children how to jump rope. Challenged their stamina as part of an obstacle course.

The children's personal highlight was the trip to the motor skills park in the 22nd district.District; no ward remained safe from the children.

The conclusion of our project week was the joint preparation of a fruit salad; the self-cut fruit was eaten with pleasure.

Together with the 1a class, the week was rounded off perfectly: The children of the preschool class presented a speech rhyme and were not only very well entertained by the 1a class, but also fed with a healthy snack and presented with a wonderful movement game.

During this week, we not only learned a lot of new things, but the children also experienced exciting moments together, which brought us even closer to each other. " – ideas were collected for this. Designing a poster.

So there are many ways to take personal responsibility for health:

Go to bed early, brush teeth, fresh air – ventilate regularly, exercise, etc.

For this reason, there were two new movement songs, whereby "Laurentia" particularly challenged everyone.

Yoga was also part of the week, Laura offered an introductory lesson with simple exercises.

More time was devoted to the topic of nutrition:

On Monday we had a healthy breakfast with cornflakes, muesli, fruit (fruit salad), milk, ..

Everyone had to help – the different foods were classified in the food pyramid.

On Wednesday buckwheat loafs with lots of vegetables were prepared.

On Thursday, the fountain market was on the agenda.

Fruits and vegetables were named, not all of them were known by name, some of them were bought and immediately tasted on Thursday.

A project folder accompanied us through the week, each day was briefly summarized in a project diary.

Further work is being done on the theme sheets.

Project week 4a

Our project week "How to keep fit, come and join us!" was a great success!

We dealt with healthy nutrition and sports. At the end of the week, the children gave presentations on the following topics. Many parents came to our presentation on Friday. They were impressed by the skills of their children and the delicious, healthy buffet. This had been prepared by the children themselves. The presentations were livened up by a dance performance and the awarding of certificates for particularly good snacks. Another highlight of the week was the visit to the motor park in Vienna 22. All children were enthusiastic about the spacious area and the many possibilities to move and to prove their dexterity. In addition, the children were introduced to new movement games for the breaks. It was a successful week!

During this week, the third-grade children were divided into five groups and visited various laboratories, where they discovered many exciting things. Food was examined, experiments were carried out and different types of sports were learned.

Each day began with a fun movement session with the "Sportinator".

There was also more movement during the joint children's yoga as well as during the excursion to the motor park, which invited the children to follow their urge to move to their heart's content.

In the laboratory "Fat facts", the children learned about different foods that contain fats. A distinction was made between unhealthy. Differentiating healthy fats. At the end of the week, the children conducted an experiment to find out which foods contain fats.

Deciphering secret messages and getting to know different types of vegetables was the focus of the "Secret Messages" laboratory. Riddles around fruits and vegetables were solved to find out what is really healthy for us and what should be eaten more often.

The lab "Sports Matters" challenged both the mind and the body, as a reading rally and trying out different types of sports were the focus here.

The opportunity to get to know foods that contain water, as well as an exciting experiment to find out how much water a cucumber or a potato consists of, was offered in the La-bor "Watery Ingredients".

Musical activities included singing and moving to the song "Let's keep fit", which gave the children the opportunity to train their bodies and voices. The end of the week was a healthy buffet of all 3. We had a great time in the classes, which was prepared together.

This was the end of a great and eventful week and we hope that many children will continue to enjoy good, healthy food in the future.

In our school project week, the children of 3B learned together with the children of 3A and 3C in different laboratories. Food was studied, experiments were carried out and different sports were learned about.

Every morning we started the day together with movement and music. A movement song in English was also developed together with Stefan Foidl from Superar.

We were able to show how fit we are on an obstacle course in the gym and during children's yoga we learned to relax and listen to our bodies. Especially great was our joint educational trip with many other classes of our school to the motor park.

At the end of the day on Friday, a healthy snack was prepared and eaten with all the other children in the third grade. Afterwards, in the gymnasium together with the 4B class ran, did gymnastics and played games. It was great to work with friends from other classes this week and learn a lot together!

The "Great Deals" lab was dedicated to the topic of "Shopping the Right Way" and getting to know sugary products. This lab also enticed with a great final experiment, as the true sugar content was made visible by boiling cola.

In the "Sports Matters" lab, both the mind and the body were challenged, as a reading rally but also the actual trying out of different sports were the focus here.

The "Watery Ingredients" lab offered the opportunity to learn about foods that contain water and to conduct an exciting experiment to find out how much water a cucumber or a potato consists of.

The children sang and moved together to the song "Let's keep fit", which gave them the opportunity to exercise their bodies and voices.

The topic of "hygiene" also played a special role this week. With the help of finger paints, the children were shown how quickly germs and bacteria can spread just by shaking hands. Therefore the children were made aware of the correct washing of hands.

One of the highlights was also the concluding snack together. This was buffet. Every child could enjoy the healthy offer. The project week ended with full bellies and satisfied faces.
