Another method of producing alcohol-free beer is vacuum distillation. In the process, the alcohol is removed from the drink afterwards. It is therefore fermented in the classic way, as is the case with a common beer. Then, however, the alcohol is evaporated at low temperatures in a vacuum. The advantage of this method is that it preserves the flavors that are most appreciated in a classic beer. This results in non-alcoholic beer with a more bitter taste.

In addition to the two common production methods, there is also the option of special filtration, in which the alcohol is pressed out of the beer. Other beer brands are turning to newly bred yeast varieties that have such low fermentation levels that they stop fermenting even below the 0.5% mark.
