In December, the Healthy Kids Network looks back with pride and gratitude on the efforts of all its volunteer family sponsors.
Britta Ernst, Minister for Education, Youth and Sports of the State of Brandenburg, emphasizes: "The volunteer family mentors of the Healthy Children Network do a wonderful job for the families in the State of Brandenburg. Even in times of pandemic, they are at the side of the families. This commitment, in addition to the challenges in their own private and working lives, cannot be taken for granted and deserves the greatest appreciation. On the occasion of Volunteer Day, I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the volunteer family sponsors."
The Healthy Kids Network can continue to have its effects on parenting and child health during the pandemic, albeit with slight limitations and sometimes through other avenues. This is possible in particular thanks to the volunteer family sponsors and the individual support they provide for families.
Britta Ernst thanks the approximately 1000 volunteer family sponsors
Around 1000 volunteer family sponsors are currently supporting 4500 families in the Healthy Kids Network. The Corona pandemic and the associated restrictions have brought great challenges, especially in this area.

"On the occasion of the Day of Volunteerism, I would like to thank once again all those who have not let their volunteer work get them down in recent months – especially the family sponsors in the Healthy Kids network. In this challenging time marked by the coronavirus, they continue to stand by the families and have an open ear for their questions and concerns. Many creative ideas have emerged on how to maintain the important contact with families. For many years, the network has been an important partner for family policy in the state of Brandenburg and for growing up healthy."
