About the author and other contributors
Norbert Schramm: Born 1953; occupied itself since earliest youth with the breed of splendor finches. Since 1974 he has been a member of a traditional Dresden breeders' club and started breeding color and posture canaries. Since 1985 he has been a trained judge for color and posture canaries, carduelids, finch mongrels and later also for European birds. With the experimental breeding of many canary breeds. He acquired extensive knowledge about the different species of carduelids. His publications on the coloration of birds and the scientific presentation of canary colors developed from them made him well known in professional circles. His first major work "The color canaries" has become an important reference book for many breeders.
